    I have gotten the " don't you need a rooster to get eggs?" question many times.... i do not know about other parts of the country, but up here in the northeast there used to be a commercial from the "egg council" (whatever that is???) with the jingle "brown eggs are local eggs, and local eggs...

    wow, figured i was the only one up at this time of the morning...lol was constantly adjusting temp on the L.G. set up the hova-bator and got it to 102 and left it there...zero problems! it has a very different termostatalso when we got the hova (e-bay) it came with an automatic egg turner...

    ok, virgin hatcher here too, am getting some live chicks also , but my wife wanted to try hatching so we got some eggs and an incubator and are giving it a go... hatch day is the 28th(our live babies get here the same week!),got some black copper marin eggs because she saw them on the martha...

    My wife and I ordered our first 12 yesterday, will be here week of april 25th... leave in a rural town so should not be a problem... have not checked with the town yet... so who knows.. well 12 is a good start... went to the local Agway... was only going to get 8... they have a 12...

    yes i am on the east coast, so they will ship for free:D i know it is Amish built, i have seen the same coop on about 3 sites now, about the same price mypetchicken.com seems to have the best ordering

    hi, just ordered our first chicks..will have them the week of april 25... am looking at a similar coop from mypet chickens.com...was going to build my own, but the boss...err, wife wants to buy. it is called the craftsman coop it also comes as a kit for 12-15 free range chickens, 4x6 not...
