    We've built a roaming yard for them to be in during the day, and when there is somebody home they go out in the yard. There is no front yard fence so we have to be careful about that! And my dog still isn't extremely friendly with her chicken friends

    This was our first attempt, and I must say I think we did alright! We have since raised the dog kennel off the ground as the hens got closer to laying.

    Protective Hen

    one of my hens has become protective of the eggs when I go to collect them. I don't think she is broody as she isn't sitting in the nest boxes but just tries to peck at me and bawks up at the egg when it's in my hands. I'm also not sure if it's her egg or my other girls egg. Does any one know...
