    Best ways to sell chickens?

We have nearly 30 birds we need to sell before the end of this year. Can anyone direct me to the best way to sell them all quickly? I might not make it to the county fair this year. A few of the birds are older than 3. Should I aim for rehoming or donating them as pets instead of selling? I...

    5wk old chick limping

This was several years ago, and Limpy (her name) is no longer with us, sadly. She might have been a cockerel, but this was several years ago and I frankly can't remember. She didn't live long enough to fully recover; a fox got her. She thought I was her flock member and followed me around like a...

Hen picking at her leg scales- caused bleeding

Wow! You're an excellent chicken caretaker. What you're doing so far is fine. My thoughts are that she's doing this because she might not have enough calcium in her diet. Is she also picking at and eating eggs or feathers?

    5wk old chick limping

Her leg might be dislocated or bruised somewhere. I had a chick like this, roughly the same age, a few years ago. What had happened to her was that her foot was stepped on, and when she tried to pull away, her leg popped out of the joint. I would feel her leg joints to make sure. Hope this helps!

    Baby chick gasping/seizing up?!

Please help! This chick has had several episodes like this. She gasps for air and convulses. Clearly in pain, and sometimes cheeps loudly. She is 4 days old. Lives in a brooder with plenty of ventilation, heat, and pine shavings. This has been happening for a couple days, maybe since she was...

    Hi, I'm new!!

    (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I got chickens a couple of years ago; little did I know that I would fall in love with them and tallk to them everyday. (2) How many chickens do you have right now? I don't actually know.... about 15? (3) What breeds do you...

    What the heck is this

One of my hens got stung by a bee and her face swelled up, but not quite to that size.

    Tom or Jenny?

I don't yet have a picture of the turkey to post. The turkey is a Narragansett turkey; s/he hasn't started laying eggs and we got him/her at around mid- May. If you have any useful information, it would be very welcome.
