Yeah, plenty of snugly beddingfor the 4 day old chick, and i have the lamp pointed in one direction but.. i think he always sits on the side that is closest to me.. even if that means he is in the light and panting (very cute.. not so bright). Seems to be doing well though so im not too worried.
Better too hot or too cold. the temperature (ambient) ranges from 35 degrees Celsius (95f) and 20 (68f). Today it got really hot (nearly 40 degrees (100+ Fahrenheit)) and my poor chick started panting so i had to turn the air con on for him.
From what I've read its really important to keep...
Yeah i read about the sugar water. I will try that tonight and see if she is happier tomorrow.
thanks
EDIT: i just fed her some of the top of a teaspoon, she sits up and starts opening and closing her mouth.. but i cant tell if she wants more if if she is having trouble swallowing what i gave...
After a fox got our rooster and 5 hens we decided to try to hatch their last eggs.
So now we have 2 chicks (first time). One is really energetic, eats drinks runs around.. the other however sleeps continuously, even when i pick her up she doesn't move or open her eyes.
they are about 24 hours...
