Not that I'm aware of. I leave some on hand just in case of emergency cases. As long as you are giving her some kind of vitamins it should help just not as fast. Just do what you can for her and keep an eye.

    Brahma color mixing...

Your welcome. Theres a chance for it. As BSO looks like a blue dark hiding the partrirdge gene, the gold can leak thru. Depends on what you want. did you want darks or a bunch of different colors? just think of partridge and darks as BBS. blue partridge (blue), partridge (black),splash...

Help! Accidentally cut my chicken's claws too short. Now it won't stop bleeding!

She may be too warm and trying to stay cool. She would be used to outside weather so the change in temp could be affecting her. Shes acting completely normal other than the panting?

    Brahma color mixing...

You are completely correct. I believe the Orange splash is splash partridge by pictures iIve seen. But overseas it could be something different. But I would recommend not using the splash in the breeding if she wants darks. The best bet is using the blues with the dark. So they dont have the...

Honestly you can breed the darks and partridge. Just might require some work and keeping none of the males. Look at the dark and partridge part of the genetics http://www.brahmacochin.org/poultry-breeding-genetics

No problem it what we do for my nieces show Brahmas and my breeder Brahmas and has worked very well and really fast. They feathers on the legs just have a tendency to raise the scales when growing in and makes a nice little homes for mites if not dealt with.

    Claw trimming

Just be prepared and have some bloodstop ready as a just in case. No the oil just help moisten the scales which helps bring the back to where they should be. I use it on my nieces show brahma. Hes had new feathers growing in on his feet so they lift at that spot, just gotta keep his legs pretty...

Please dont cut. Use a pet nail grinder and take it down alittle at a time. This way you dont cause her to bleed. Theres a post from just the other day of someone accidentally cutting the nail too short. On the legs use some coconut oil or mineral oil and it will help bring the scales back down.

Help! Accidentally cut my chicken's claws too short. Now it won't stop bleeding!

I'd pack it again with whatever you used to stop it. Then leave her somewhere dark in a small cage so she wont move around much.

    chicken birthday cake any ideas

I agree with ChickNanny13 you can alter a flock block recipe. A fruit gelatin would be good or something along the lines.
