    Update: the chick is doing great, rectum has been normal since she passed this Nd I believe after cutting it open it was a. Blockage from eating the wood chips and a little infection. Problem resolved Yay. Thank you All for your help

    no soft eggs i am certain she isn't laying and none of the other hens have given soft eggs however i occasionally am getting small bumps on eggs but not often. I assume it is just a normal deviation since they are far and few in-between.
