This looks like coryza to me. The cheese like substance. What did you treat with? Anything work?

Unless you isolate those infected birds separately, then yes your other birds will eventually get infected.

Cochins and silkies are the sweetest but I also love my black austrolorps.

Roosters don’t seem to fight and get along better when separated from the hens if you are planning to keep a few. Some are so sweet and you get attached. Others not so sweet. As a vegetarian I find a good home for mine or separate.
