Will do! So far, so good. I made a separate cage area in the coop for them, so the other girls can see them and be around them, but can't get to them. We'll let them free range a bit tomorrow under supervision, then keep them in the separate area when they go back in the coop.
The first one has some blue kote on her back because she was getting pecked in the beginning by the others. The last pic I thought I would include so you could see how they all look
so, my babies are 4 1/2 weeks old and they are losing feathers on their backs. It looks like new feathers are trying to come in, but its hard to tell. We looked for mice or lice, but couldn't find anything.
Is it normal for them to molt? Are they losing they baby fuzzy?
Should I be worried or be...
Thank you, BlueBaby,
I am a new chicken mommy!
They are about 3 1/2 weeks old. I was told they're Ameracauna's, however, after doing some reading, I think they're a mix breed, which really doesn't bother me, as I wanted chickens for eggs, not to show.
We've been picking them up every day...

I have 6 baby chicks, about 3 1/2 weeks old. I thought they were Ameracauna's, but after reading a bit on line, I'm pretty sure they're mixed. I really wanted chickens...
