    When Do You Know a Wound is Healed?

    My hen got Flystrike 11 days ago and has been inside since then. Her wound has gotten smaller and is now a scab. When is the wound completely healed to where I can put her outside? I am sure she is tired of being all "cooped" up! I would hate for her to get flystrike again!

    Thank you for taking the time to respond. I was thinking that as well and had Tylan on hand so I started to treat her. Her respiratory symptoms have improved, but the not eating and drinking has come from this. She does not want eggs, yogurt, rice, oats, wet feed... the only thing she ate today...

    Lethargic chicken not eating or moving

    My hen had similiar issues - she died last week and it was confirmed that it was Marek's. She was lethargic, let me hold her, ate very little and barely drank, dirrehea, smelled like old people urine...not moving much and closing her eyes alot. I had to euthanize her because she was suffering.
