Early morning on Wednesday one of my juvenile turkeys got attacked by something and has a gash on its leg. We cleaned it up and put some vetericyn on it cause that’s all I have on hand and bandaged it up as well as put her in a crate away from everyone else. I changed the bandage today and the...
I need a lot of help, my fiancé is out of town working and I just found out that my oldest Roo has a very bad lice infestation. His skin is red and raw and he has a bunch of clusters of nits. What’s the best way to treat him and then treat the rest of the flock and my yard as well?
I have no problem with them and our big older Roo, Vinny, they know he runs the place. I’m just worried how they’ll act towards each other seeing as they’re all starting to crow. We also have 2 male guineas, 3 male turkeys and at least one male duck so far...
I haven’t been that way yet because I’ve been working, but I get Monday off so I’ll head in there. You think they’ll give me 4 pullets to replace them?
It has been extremely muggy and hot here all week and I noticed this morning my Tom has really runny watery poop, almost like diarrhea. They have plenty of fresh water and food, but he just seems to get like this in the morning. Could it just be cause he’s drinking a lot more water?
They’re...
I’m inquiring as well, just found one of my hens on these. Not sure how long she’s been on them cause I work nights during the weekend and usually over stock them with food and water so I can get sleep. But I went into the coop a little bit ago and wondered where all the eggs were. I found her...
Is this normal for chickens to do. We free range them about 75% of the time and it’s been raining all day here but they seem to love it and won’t go back in the coop.
I’ll have to check vets around my area to see if they have one that deals with turkeys and chickens. He is eating and drinking now though and his poop is back to normal. But I still want to get him checked out. He’s my fiancé’s best friend.
My Turkey is acting quite strange. Every slow at moving, lays down more often, he had watery white stools, and when my fiancé picked him up he also puked a bit of white looking liquid.
I need help, I don’t want to lose our lovely Tom.
I got 3 ducklings from Rural King Thursday and one of them is acting very lethargic, won’t eat, and we pretty much have to force him to drink. Friday morning I noticed one of his eyes wouldn’t open so I rinsed it with a warm rag and gave him fresh water but I had to go to work. Come back and now...
I got some grower duck feed and I’m not sure if it has everything they need. I’ll take a picture when I get home but should I give them niacin just in case?
