Lol, my Geese prefer if I walk them to the shed also. If I dont get them to bed before dark they seem to yell when they see the flashlight "help help its dark and we are scared" silly geese. They train us well. But my geese do understand "go to bed" it means run around while honking. :D
@ turtleguy My feeder could have totally ended up way to big, but I lucked out. It was complete luck that it holds the 50 lb bag. Using scrap lumber you kind of just work with what you have.
Yep Pacific time zone. Ughh It really sucks when the sunset is in the 3 o'clock hour. I find myself going to bed at 6:30 because it has already been dark for so many hours
yes chores seem to take forever when its this cold. We also usually get more snow than cold, but it seems that we are having a very early cold snap. I kind of wish that it would snow to at least insulate everything a little better. And prettier!!
Hi all!
I just made my very own coop page.
I was wondering what you thought I should add to it. Details? More Pictures? I want it to be helpful to others!

After much procrastination and thought I have finally decided to make a coop page. My coop is a remodeled 16x8 barn shed, the kind that you get from the home improvement store. The shed is about 15 years old and when I started it had for sure seen better days. It was...

I would think so.. I have also been wondering as I planted a 30x200 ft patch of them this year. They seem to lake the heads that I have given mine so far. Hope someone else chimes in, I will be watching :)
Hi Everyone. I believe that I have 4 African geese. I am trying g to figure out gender. Honestly I have a feel I that there are 3 ganders and 1 hen... but the one that I think is a hen is the loudest and has always been th[/IMG][/IMG]e boss, she got named Buster because she is always busting...
I have been making lists of words that I like, as in, Naturally, Natural, Bare, Naked, ect. But I feel like I am pigeon holing myself. I have also tried some online name generators but they are so generic.
Ok, so I am looking for some input on my Farm/Business name.
Right now I am stuck on Naked Feet Farm as a name. I like the name but am worried about it somehow offending a potential customer. So I would like some ideas for other potential names.
Here is some info about my small farm.

He just died. DANG IT!!!!
Uhggg, Not to sound mean but he was the only roo I have that I would actually be sad about dying. I have 4 Minorca hens that he was going to breed this spring. Now I have no Minorca roo. Crap. Crap. Crap.
Edit: He is now in the house warming up. Didn't know what else to do.
Help!
I went to let the chickens out this morning and my beautiful Minorca roo is huddled in the corner with his feathers all puffed out. His comb is very very dark purple. Does not want to eat or drink.
I at first though...
