    No you dont need it if they are free roam, because they will have alot of bugs and grass to eat. But try some crushed oister and some or just a little bit of grain feed for the winter or if they are broody.

    Really i dont know what to say but try Craigslist sell them or just give them away it wull save you from the brooder

    Craiglist is a good place and obviously you wont kill him he does seem like a good rooster so see if you could give him away to a freind or a neighbor that might want him then that is what i would do.
