I think there is still something incorrect, but no regrowth in the form as before. Maybe if I cut out a little more it would be better (but more painfull).
I think the surgery was justified, but the effect could be better.
Few days ago i looked at her feet (after her last bath in home) and the places where the surgery occurs were slightly convex, white and coarse (looked like white sandpaper). Now she is outside with other ducks.
I think today he is worse. More sitting. And acting like described in my first post. Vet is not an option. If it does not improve, i would euthanise him.
He is acting as other ducks, also eating and drinking (not sure for pooping). I saw he stretches his wings sometimes as others do, but not for balancing, only for stretching. I saw him few times half-sitting (not laying) with his feet unfolded (toes next to each other).
He is about 5 weeks old. Im feeding him with: "Complete feed for ducks and geese in the period from one day of life to the end of rearing" https://www.karmoteka.pl/kurka-naturka-pasza-dla-kaczki-i-gesi-25kg-p-1891.html .No additional grit.

Hi. I come with another mysterious question :)
One of my ducks sits down more often than the others.
Before he sits down he very slowly lowers his head down, just like in the picture.
When his beak touches the floor, his legs are shaking, he sits down fastly. It looks a bit like he wants to do a...
Thank you all for your interest in my subject and help in the decision related to the foots existing on my duck's feet :) I hope that some day my experiences will be useful for someone. In a few weeks (or maybe earlier) I will update the thread.
Duck is walking ok, but for now it has to little room for longer walks.
Pics: left foot before surgery, left foot 1 day after surgery (during bandage change), whole duck 1 day after surgery.
Yes it is Bactroban 20 mg/g :)
I will apply it during bandage change.
I did whole surgery on 2 feet without anyone's help and I did not even thinking about taking photos. I am glad that the duck was very calm.
I did not give any antibiotic on bandage, do you think that mupirocin in the ointment (bought as ointment for humans) would be suitable or safer to leave only dry bandage. Bedding is new, all 4 ducklings had bath before surgery of this one. I also washed their container.
I removed it from both legs. Under it was white, soft, wet/shiny tissue (looked exactly like tissue in my foot after removing similar thing some time ago. I'v bandaged her legs. Now she is acting as always like nothing happen.
Hi. I'm brother of 7 runner ducks. 3 adults and 4 ducklings. I joined because of great knowledge base of this forum and many positively freaky poultry lovers.
