Well, after the first chick fell out of the nest (about 3 feet to the chicken house floor) I moved the nicer hen with the chicks to a separate house where they are on straw floor. No danger! Everyone seems happy and calm.The crazy hen now is left with just one egg but she did hatch out one...- katiehoward

Ha! I tried to move one of the hens and she flew at me, landed on my head and started flapping. Good thing she was a Banty. I have a Banty hen who sat on 7 eggs. One day before the first hatch a second Banty decided to share the nesting box. So I have one nesting box with 2 mothers and 4 chicks, waiting on the last 3 eggs to hatch. The chicken house is also shared by a Banty rooster and 3 laying hens. Question...- katiehoward
