    Help with TSC mystery breed

I know they're young but I have no idea what these might even be. I've googled images of several different types of breeds but can't find anything similar. So any guesses would be appreciated. They were in the straight run bin with the labels Rhode island white and welsummer. Hoover's hatchery...

Ugh my 3 bottom girls Cricket(ss), DJ(ee), & Frida(ee) are all getting their tail feathers torn out. I noticed a couple weeks ago DJ had...

Oh thank you so much! Yes I started giving myself contractions towards the end so DH put me in time out after the roof was completed. I was only allowed to watch and lift light objects. Lol. I've been looking around the internet for some grass. we have been keeping the chickens locked up while...

I was so mesmerized by @ChooksNQuilts grass as well. Lol. Dh and I have been working so hard to get our yard back and it's so hard! Here in Texas it's hard to find a grass that is drought hardy and also survives in the shade.

All 3 of my BSL are so different. Rosy has a ton of red all over chest and wings. Shimmer has a slightly red chest and Glimmer has the most beautiful purple/blue/green sheen and hardly any red. They're now my husbands favorite since their adult feathers came in.

Yes. I was in my last trimester of pregnancy and we had already hit around 90F or 32C. We converted my work shed into our coop. The first weekend we had to clean it out and remove shelving. Then we built the frame on a second weekend. Another weekend we got the roof on. Then over about a weeks...

Are you building the one big coop thay you plan to build into 3 separate coops still? I'm not sure what your set up and layout are like. But maybe you could build the coop and have the runs at each side so they're attached to the coop and have some stability.

That first photo! So stinking adorable! I miss starting a new flock and getting to know all the new chickens. I have too many eggs to count so I wont be getting anymore for a while! Lol. We've been selling some but not enough to keep our supply down.

Well I was just thinking turn it on when the girls are locked up. I'm sure this cat is constantly lurking around. You can always turn it off when you'll be outside. Is there no way to not have it pointed toward where people may walk? Honestly I can see how neighbors might not realize how...

We just put the corner posts at ground level since the frame is attached to the coop. We ran the hw cloth into the ground a couple inches to prevent anything digging under. Then we put pavers with plants along the bottom as extra border security.

What about a motion activated sprinkler? PNW mentioning sprinklers made me think of it. It has the element of surprise and water to hopefully deter the cat. You don't even have to wait around for the cat to get a good shot.

Our run is 15x12. The wood I think is 1x6. It is pressure treated because we used the wood from our deck. Here's photos of our fame then the completed run.

We did this to our run. We've got wood running the whole way with about 2-3 inch gaps between each piece. We secured it with beams every couple feet along the width and one running lengthwise with brackets where they meet. Then we just put chicken wire over it. We brought the wood down about 2...

DH put new shavings in the coop last weekend. I collected eggs Wednesday and realized we were a couple short than the norm. Went in last night and in the corner of my eye spotted an egg in the coop floor. I'm like come on girls! We could've stepped on it. Then noticed this! Haha. Chickens are...

Chicken math went way up over and beyond!:lau My neighbor has bantams and I finally realize just how small they are! I now understand your dilemma of the LF breeding the bantams. They have a bantam rooster and his crow is just the cutest little thing. They have one BO and one Leghorn roo too...
