Yikes combatfuzzball!1 that is awful! I've warned my neighbors last year about me getting chickens. I'll be reminding them this coming winter again before I get any chicks.
I hear ya about the garden beds, I've been busy working on them too here. I will be so glad when I finally get the coop...
OH that is awesome lazy gardener! Congrats!!!
And nice about the corn too, I want to grow that next year. :) Sounds like you have a great veg garden going! :) I got my pumpkins planted, watermelon (probably too late), and cukes. My blueberry high bushes, one of them has blueberries on it...
That sounds good Hoopy! This other spot, to the left of that birch tree and back is where I am thinking now for the coop. This whole area is where my formal garden is to go, mostly flowers but I was planning to have chicken tunnels and paths all winding throughout. (My weird vision LOL) but yea...
I think you are right lazy gardener about the water in the coop. I would rather they had access to water at all times than not.

Thanks lazy gardener! :)
I've checked out a lot of the pre-made coops for sale and you are right, many are flimsy or just not big enough or just have issues. They are good I think possibly for a transition or hospital or such or like mobile to move them like that Eglu was on wheels, although I...
Wow! I don't know what the temps were here but I absolutely loved the cooler temps. It could stay in the 70s and not get higher. I am learning tho' I need to start seeds in March and make a hoop covering for the garden. I will be so glad when I finally get chickens and they can help to prepare...
I have yet to try a lobster roll, the only stuff I've had is at Red Lobster, so need to do some investigating as to where might be the better one to try before I say no to lobster. LOL
I haven't had fiddleheads yet, not sure about them.
Whoopie pies, we have tried most flavors and find the...
