Hey all. Still new, but getting comfortable with my chickens! I can see why you are all wild about them!! I'm prepping for them to go outside as soon as it decides to be spring here in Pennsylvania. And as I prepare their new homestead, I'm wondering about 600 things...maybe not quite, but...
Here are some of the chicks I got. Do notice the stitches on my thumb, as I nearly amputated it building their brooder the day I brought them home. I literally have put my blood sweat and tears into these lil chicks and Ive only had them 3 days :)
This is what I meant. I think. They are all laying breeds according to the employee, not necessarily hens. I just wanted a mix of colors and stuff to try everything out.
Chicken math....that must be similar to "multiple tank syndrome" in the aquarium worlds :p
In all seriousness, it sounds like yes I'm certifiably insane haha
Thing is, if I get a bunch of roosters....I dont know what I'm goin to do with them geez I just assumed I had a 50/50 shot on whether...
hrm ok i admire the simplicity of it.... but, will the chickens be happy? That sounds dumb even as I type it, but I'm wondering where they roost and lay their eggs in that? Are they not as particular as I am imagining?
