New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Just thought I'd post a pic of my little ones, likely to be named Bumble and Bee! Both thriving and boy do they grow fast and eat a lot! They're 9-days old today, and just adorable! Healthy, energetic, and cheeky!

11-hours later, and the second one has (finally) hatched! Helped I'm sure by the first one trampling all over the egg and pecking at the shell/hole! Looking healthy, gorgeous and exhausted! What a relief - 2/2 here safely! And I'm completely in love already!

Thanks for you replies. Yes, the hatched ducking is all over the place! He's knocked the lid of the water trough (thankfully can't get in and water not that high), knocked the therm/humidity reader over (thankfully I can still read it!) temp at 37 degrees, humidity 88% and dropping slowly as...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Just since the first one hatched. There was no condensation (or very, very little) until this guy came out. Is that OK?

WOW!!!! We have one hatched!!! We have a ducking!!!! :love Egg B had lots of little cracks, and I could see the little pieces being pushed a lot yesterday and lots of peeping, but it'd still not made a hole. Egg A had a couple of very small cracks, but that one had not done much peeping/wobbling...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Oh, the waiting it a killer! It seems it a case of nothing, nothing, nothing, major wobble, peeping, then nothing, nothing, nothing! What a fascinating thing incubating is! Just blows my mind!

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

I had nothing happen until last night, when I noticed the first slight crack on the saddle shaped air cell egg just before I went to bed! The other egg had nothing happening. This morning, lots of wobbling and peeping from both eggs, and the crack on saddle egg is bigger/wider, and the other one...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

WVduckchick - thank you so much for replying! As they're a bit early, I was a little worried about going into lockdown because I could hear/see only 1 egg peeping/wobbling and not the other. But on candling last night, both were pushing at the membrane to the air cell like crazy, so they both...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Hi All, After my panic the other day!, I continued to check the eggs once an evening, and both appeared to be pushing at the membrane rather than actually pipped through. So I kept doing everything the same, humidity maintained at approx. 45%, temp steady at 37.5 degrees and turned 5 times a...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

So now we’re on day 22, I haven’t touched them since my routine candling last night and seeing the image/s. I just popped them in hopefully the right position. As it says turn until day 25, do I do this now or not? Ideal humidity with this happening? Just shocked me to see what I saw! When I...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Me too! I was expecting to be very anxious at 28-days, let alone 21. Egg A has just done some major wobbling. Trying to get into position? I have hopefully placed them in the correct position with the air cell. I have nothing ready so will get their setup sorted tomorrow and just hope they are...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Hi, Yes, the saddle shaped egg also has the new shadow tonight - neither showed anything like this yesterday. Both eggs were shipped to me. I have 2 different thermometers in the incubator and the incubator itself set to 37.5 degrees. There’s been little fluctuation. I didn’t calibrate them...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

The normal air cell egg is rocking... only slightly, be definitely loving. I’m very worried now. I’ve upped the humidity to 70%. I put them in to incubate on the 29th April. 21 full days. This pic is if the saddle air cell egg. I have been extremely careful all the way through incubation to...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

That’s what I’m really worried about!!! I’m on day 21... I was sure from what I’ve read it meant this one was internal pipping. It’s moving like crazy. There’s also some shadowing in the egg with the saddle air cell. Do I go into lockdown now? Increase the humidity to 70%? I’m so worried as it’s...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Now I’m getting pretty worried. Day 21, and just checked the air cells, which have grown in the last two days. Humidity averaging 45%, but this evening I can see the strange point pushing into the air cell area, and it’s wiggling like crazy. I’d this normal? Temperature holding perfectly. Thanks.

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Thank you for your replies! I just want to make sure I'm doing everything the best way I can! I am so excited and so nervous! Humidity is averaging at 30% today, and I have drawn a faint line on the outside to monitor any changes/growth. I'm going to be completely stressed when we reach hatching...

New to hatching - just looking for advice/reassurance!

Hi all, So, I'm completely new to hatching, and have 2 Aylesbury duck eggs in the Janoel-10 mini incubator. From day 3, I saw very distinctive veins and they appear to have developed exactly as they should so far. I'm now on day 20, and there is a lot of movement when I candle, the veins are...
