Over a couple or three weeks one of my RIR hens legs started turning yellow and her comb faded to light pink and was swelling, she had a messy vent area. She was eating and drinking good and was lively. This morning she was dead on the coop floor. Anyone have any idea what could have caused...

Nope, not a rose comb. Single comb but very light colored. This is the only one with yellow legs.

I have some RIRs but one of them has yellow legs and I guess a rose comb. Is this a different breed?

You can remove the pavers now or wait till later when your chickens start scratching holes around them. It is a natural thing for them to scratch and look.
