Mistakenly bought medicated chick starter for ducks...

I just realized I bought the medicated chick starter instead of the unmedicated flock raiser feed for my day old ducklings. It's 9pm here and the store is closed, but I can get the right feed first thing in the morning. Should I remove the medicated food and leave them foodless overnight?

Keeping ducks safe from bald eagles, etc

Thanks, friends!! I have them in a fully predator proof pen overnight, but with the warmer weather I've been letting them free-range during the day (with and without supervision) but I've been feeling pretty nervous about it! Do you have any kind of a portable tractor for them? I think the...

    Duck genocide HELP

I'm so sorry, darn it!! I am not very experienced, but I did just recently read that many ducks are sensitive to mold. Is it possible that their food, bedding, hutch or another part of their environment has gotten moldy?

Keeping ducks safe from bald eagles, etc

Hey all!! My khaki campbell flock of 9 one-year-old ducks love to spend time out of the pen in the creek, sun bathing, etc. BUT we have some nesting bald eagles in the field near our house. We also have other predators that I want to protect them from. I'm considering building a large hoop...

What's this weird spot in my duck egg?

They are 19ish weeks, some are just now laying their first eggs. This was a smaller egg, it could have been one of the first few laid by that duck. We have 9 ducks so I'm not sure who's laying what!! :) To my knowledge they haven't been stressed, they're pretty happy sweet ducks but I'll keep...

    Egg bound duck?

It's been several days of watching her closely - she's been eating, pooping, drinking - but her rear area has had that swollen spot and she's seemed so uncomfortable. Today, though, we got 2 shell-less eggs and I'm pretty sure they were from her (can she lay 2 in a row in the same day? because...

    Egg bound duck?

Thank you for all of your help. :) She's been in and out of the pool that all the ducks share in their pen, but I could bring her in and let her spend some time in the tub maybe? They only started laying about 3 days ago, the first day there were 2 eggs, the second (yesterday) there was 1 egg...

    Egg bound duck?

Updates: On Friday we gave her a quarter of a crushed up TUMS and I sprinkled some on their food (thanks for the advice here and on other threads I dug through) and a warm epsom salt bath and tried to use coconut oil to lube up the cloaca and help her out, at the advice of a local friend - I...

    Egg bound duck?

I can confirm that she IS drinking, she's been right next to the water drinking. She just squirted very watery white poop. Good or bad sign? @casportpony - the Tums are 750mg
