We did this with our dobermans. I made a paste of hot pepper flakes with water in the food processor & spread it on everything I wanted them to avoid. They had just destroyed the water pump & I don't know how they didn't get electrocuted. So I looked online & found this remedy. It actually...
Thanks. Just read it & that seems to be them. He just bought them by color & those he thought were cute. I will be letting him know about what I've learned here about his mini chickens. They seem ok & I hope they live a while so he doesn't get anymore. This all started with my Wyandottes for...
I haven't but I will. Thanks. He told me that they're mixed from who knows how many diff breeds so it'll be fun to sort of figure out the ancestry behind these chickens. :thumbsup
I don't think they're Seramas bcz hubby has them on his long list of "must find" & these aren't standing up sticking their breasts out all the time. To me they look like any normal chicken just really small. But we're just starting so I don't know.
Thanks for the invite. This stuff is contagious. I just ordered an incubator for the eggs the kiris keep laying. Hubby wants to try & hatch them without the chicken. I think he should let her do it but it's probably my fault for telling him about your experiments & now he's inspired. Being as I...
Hi, Just experienced what I've read here several times about chickens not wanting to be photographed. It really is frustrating. We ordered several from online hatcheries but then hubby got chicken fever while we waited & started buying these local tiny chickens called Kirikikis (not sure about...
It's raining here now but next time I'm able to go outside, I'll try to get a few pics of the adult kirikikis(sp?). Some are really teeny tiny. The babies are just bantams we got from hatcheries online.I'll make a new thread so as not to hijack Kiki's.
Good to see this thread.I thought I was the only one who found them ugly. Mine were so cute when they were itty bitty but now, ugh.:sick My hubby says they'll get pretty again & I'm hoping it's soon because it's hard to believe by looking at them right now.
Hi. Thanks for tagging me & bringing me to this thread. Now I have to follow it to see the baby horsechickies when they hatch.
I picked my name here because we just got lots of mini/micro chicken breeds. Had never noticed another member who had a similar name while I had been lurking on the site...
I can't see any comb yet. It's 3 days old. When I ordered from Welp Hatchery it just said assorted Ameraucana Bantams so I have no idea. I'll look up the Easter Egger ones being as it's been narrowed down to this type. Thanks for your help.:thumbsup
:yuckyuck Sorry to tell you but my Spanish is terrible. Hubby's been trying to teach me for years.:rant We have a big yard & being as the hatcheries make you order 5 min of each type, I sort of had no choice. Right? I mean they're so stinking cute. In a few years, I can help repopulate. After...
Thanks. I did use your site for coop ideas as well. Hubby has been building on his days off from work for the past few weeks.Hopefully they'll be done before the chicks get too big to be indoors. We have them in a spare room for now. Yeah 93 is a lot. I kind of went crazy with all the cuteness...
