Mine didn’t either, I went to Walmart and bought a thermometer/hydrometer combo for $9 and use that very successfully. This way you know what the humidity is in your incubator before altering it with water. Mine is naturally at 50% without altering.
I incubate Japanese Bantams successfully with my “normal” Ameraucana eggs. Same temp and humidity, at the same level in the incubator. They may hatch on the 18th day, so prepare to pay close attention to pipping and stop turning them earlier if that is the case.
