I have a hen that was light tan color and hatched out 11 black chicks (probably barred rock mix) the hen now 8 weeks after hatching them out is changing color. Her feathers are slowly changing to dark brown and black. Any idea why?
Good morning. Our County Fair currently uses the zip tie type numbered tags for fair, however, they numbers wear off pretty fast and you can tell what it is by the time fair comes. Do any of you know of any tags that are easy to put on, can't be switched from bird to bird and the numbers stay...
I have one hen that lays in a specific spot outside of the coop. Every morning when I let them out she runs to her spot and acts like she’s laying an egg, but there’s never an egg. Any ideas why? She’s 3 and been doing this for about four weeks.
The attached picture is on my two-year-old turkey. Since it's cold right now we've been lifting her into the roosting area with the chickens at night. I was gone for a week. It wasn't there when I left and was there when I returned. I noticed it when I lifted her up. It is hard and if you...
PUMPKIN.....you all just made me realize. We bought a giant pumpkin and the new chickens went crazy for it. They were eating it non stop.....,I could see where a pumpkin may taste "earthy"

I have a 3 year old rooster bantam d'uccle that has been having seizures for about 6 months. Obviously I'm not watching him all day, but he definitely has them daily. He flops on the ground on his back for a few seconds then hops up and re orients himself then goes about his business as usual...

I haven’t looked in her mouth. I’ll do that tomorrow. No discharge or swelling. They were free ranging all day today and it’s not dusty. Food is pellets. It seems to happen several times in a row, then nothing for awhile, then several times again.
My Buff Orpington hen just started doing this. She does it several times then stops. She seems fine otherwise. Is it respiratory or gape worm?? Or something else?
Hopefully I'm posting the video correctly.
