    Mama chicken changing colors

If she is molting it is a very minor molt. She was a very light gray as a chick and as an adult has always been a very light tan.

What is the best chicken tag

Good morning. Our County Fair currently uses the zip tie type numbered tags for fair, however, they numbers wear off pretty fast and you can tell what it is by the time fair comes. Do any of you know of any tags that are easy to put on, can't be switched from bird to bird and the numbers stay...

    No egg?

I have one hen that lays in a specific spot outside of the coop. Every morning when I let them out she runs to her spot and acts like she’s laying an egg, but there’s never an egg. Any ideas why? She’s 3 and been doing this for about four weeks.

The attached picture is on my two-year-old turkey. Since it's cold right now we've been lifting her into the roosting area with the chickens at night. I was gone for a week. It wasn't there when I left and was there when I returned. I noticed it when I lifted her up. It is hard and if you...

Yes, he gets chicken feed as his main diet, however, it is a layer feed. We have another rooster also that is fine. He also had a limping problem before this started. I did the eggs and vitamin E for awhile and that did go away. I don't know of any head injury. He does also scratch his head...

I have a 3 year old rooster bantam d'uccle that has been having seizures for about 6 months. Obviously I'm not watching him all day, but he definitely has them daily. Help... chicken barking Gape-worm or respiratory? video attached.

Thank you. She wasn't making any strange noises yesterday and seemed totally fine except my son said she had watery poo. Right now I've just added vitamins/electrolytes to the water and we are watching closely. Her comb does seem a touch pale too, but it's also pretty cold and a lot of the...

Help... chicken barking Gape-worm or respiratory? video attached.

I haven’t looked in her mouth. I’ll do that tomorrow. No discharge or swelling. They were free ranging all day today and it’s not dusty. Food is pellets. It seems to happen several times in a row, then nothing for awhile, then several times again.
