I have two EE hens and a BBS Ameraucana hen, their eggs are very hard to tell apart. My Roo is a BBS Ameraucana as well. How can I tell them apart? I will attach a picture of each chick we have so far.
I am hand raising it, I was afraid to put it in there with my other chickens it being by itself. It will peck at pieces of food, but I haven't seen it eat yet.
Me too, I'll be crushed if it doesn't make it. It took two days helping it hatch and it peeps like crazy for me lol. It calms down as soon as my hand goes by it. It'll also climb up my shirt and lay by my neck lol.
Thank you! I'm in mesa and it's a tiny bbs Ameraucana. I think its growth was a little stunted, poor thing. I do have some in the incubator though on day 8 so maybe it'll be the right size once they're hatched. Lol
It didn't go at all till I was checking for pasty butt... this little baby has been through so much already and it's a a miracle that it even hatched and stayed alive. It is pretty tiny I think it's growth was stunted by the shrink wrapping. I'm just super worried about it and I don't want to die.
Our lonely little chick hatched this morning, when do they first poop? It has been drinking fine but hasn't eaten anything yet. I was wondering when normally they go to the bathroom for the first time. I checked it's vent it looks good and as I was checking it did poop a little bit of a creamy...
