Here’s another poor little chick. The but was yolky but not poopy. Neither of them smelled bad. They actually smelled exactly like a wet dog. I’m scared the two moving eggs are too weak to hatch themselves. I don’t knkw what to do.

Opened up one of the eggs that wasn’t moving. Dead. Looks like it pooped. See pic. Is that normal?how many days do you think this is/was? I don’t know what to do with my two that are moving. They may be too weak to hatch on their own so maybe I should open them if this was one looks like it was...

@EastIndie that’s interesting. I wish I knew exactly how old each egg was. It would suck if they were ready to hatch just too weak and I left them. Then again I’d hate to help them hatch too early and kill them

Good News! Slight rocking in two egg during water test. Two sank and the rest were low floaters. So I know at least two are alive. I am so happy right now. Thank you everyone.

@ronott1 when I candle them I see the air sack and everything else is black. The eggs were laid over a period. My five Hensley eggs in the same spot so some were added before I made it so that couldn’t happen anymore

No I haven’t unfortunately. I tap them and listen. Turn them over every day. They were not sat on for about theee days straight. Mom had one hatch and abandoned the rest. Light test shows chickens in all of them. I feel sad that I’m probably incubating a bunch of dead babies

One hatched and doubled its size in a hour. It killed both my dogs and now it’s eyeing me like I’m food. F this doesn’t get a response then I’m giving up on this website

My broody hen was sitting on 13 eggs. I left town for a week and just got home. She has one chick she is running around the yard with but she has abandoned the other 12 eggs. My friend who was feeding the animals first noticed the chick 3 days ago. So that means these poor eggs have had no body...
