The two that I have seem to be the same way,they have been raised with some marans one of the blues is smaller then the rest since she was a day old,I thought I would lose her ,never instigates playing chicken but will ruffle and play back when they do.:D
Best way to introduce chicks to the flock for me was what I learned from BYC community:thumbsup
My only problem is some of the big girls will squeeze in and eat starter food and my 11 week olds are now enjoying layer pellets,
can I just put my pullets on layer feed now?
Suggestions would be...
They seem to be doing great they are in with the big girls and temps in the 30s ,,brooder in the coop ,and brooder door open ,up early and joining the flock
Just an update put the brooder in the coop and they have been outside with no heat in the coop for a week temps in the 30s and they are doing great,thank you everyone for tips and ideas:thumbsup
