Introducing 2 month old silkies to 4 month old flock

I actually like that idea but me and wife agreed that would should build a mini coop and just connect it with the run for now. Once they get used to eachother it will work. I could always use the mini coop to raise other baby chicks if I need be

Now I’m just scared to put them with them at all. Maybe I will build another small coop on the other side of the run. Hopefully they will get used to eachother in free range and the run

Introducing 2 month old silkies to 4 month old flock

My coop is finished but I’m not 100% complete on my run which is why they are free ranging right now. Once the run is in place I would prob lock them all together to see how they react and that’s when I can figure it out. And thanks for your help

Introducing 2 month old silkies to 4 month old flock

So should I keep them in the grower a little bit longer then ? I already built a decent size coop. I was hoping I didn’t have to build separate. Will they be fine when they get a little bit bigger.

Introducing 2 month old silkies to 4 month old flock

So I have 2 two month old silkies. They are still kind of small. I’ve put them out and let them free range with my 4 month old flock. Which is mix of RIR,Buffs and rocks. They are significantly bigger than my 2 silkies. Which is obvious because they are always going to be smaller. So when I let...
