    Aggressive pecking

Yes, they have access to 1/3 of an acre in the day and they are in a 3 by 5 feet coop which remains open to a fenced area of 10m by 5meters until they are let out in the morning. The space is not the issue as they were fine with it before. It's the dynamic between them that has changed.

    Aggressive pecking

I have a Buff Orpington which is permanently broody (& not laying) so I about a month ago I isolated her in some extra fencing in the day to try and break her obsession with the nesting box. Squashed egg under Buff Orpington

Thank you for the info & the welcome. I've got an incubator on its way so I'll just habe to see if it will work. I've only got 2 hens in the nesting box, they are side by side and I've noticed the eggs moving between them, shall I take one out? The hatch day is officially tomorrow. Many thanks.

    Squashed egg under Buff Orpington

I've got two broody Buff Orpingtons on 3 eggs each, it's their first time on fertile eggs. They are in the nesting box together. I noticed a chip in one egg yesterday (& assumed it was a chick coming) but it could have been a hen peck. When I looked today under the broody this morning the egg...
