I have not noticed any sneezing or wheezing, nor discharge from the eyes or nares.
They came from Meyer hatchery, yes vaccinated. This is the first time I had issues with chicks from them.
Could be mosquitos, I do see a bunch around the coop with how much rain we had, and I always see 5-10 on...
Anyone know what this actually is? There are 3 chicks that have it (out of 15), was reading up and said to treat the entire flock with duramycin-10. However, I can not find it anywhere. We also have no vets that treat poultry around me.
Ideas/Identifications please and treatment.
Nope, all rules are being followed minus a possible noise ordinance. I measured the dBs and frequency and they were often on the line or above for sound.
But only when the egg song is going on.
So as previous posts I have mentioned my neighbor is not to happy I have chickens. Long story short he found out my sexuality and has had been causing me trouble ever since.
My other neighbors love the chickens, bring their kids to pet and love getting fresh eggs.
Anyway, I have two “loud”...

I know they go under my shed a lot but I took a flesh light under there and couldnt find any eggs.
I am sure one day I am going to smell rotten eggs and find it very quickly.
Thinking of risking it, if code enforcement comes into play then I will either find him a new home (so maybe I can get some of his chickens) or harvest the beautiful bird. Only thing is, its an ayam cemani, so the skin is black and that kinda freaks people out.
I did the wet mash today and the chickens went crazy for it! They loved it and look a lot more content. Also did the ice water and they were slurping away!
I have never harvest a bird before. Am really tempted. I know you keep a sharp nice and I know the process just never did it.
No code that I can find that prevents rosters. Only thing would be noise ordinance depending on frequency and time of crowing.
He is beautiful. Ayam Cemani. Was...
