Thinking of keeping fat cheek, bearded EE/ Americauna Rooster with Buff and Black Oprs and Prod Reds. I have 2 cockerels and 8, 11 wk old EEs and 5, 2 yr old hens in my flock. I may keep one roo but am not sure it's worth the trouble. Any advice is welcome!
They eat chick starter and chick grit. They are under constant heat light. Clean water and food on demand. I got directions on line from chicken vet's . Hold chick forward and gently squeeze crop to make chick vomit. No chocking or air restriction on baby chick. She acted normal last night...
It was full yest afternoon and them she was curling in distress at midnight. I followed guidelines and expressed her. She felt better and ate drank premed. 8:30 AM, bloated again, expressed again. She is now quarenteened. She is left of the perched, big brown.
She fills up very large and then I squeeze it out. ClearMucous and starter but mostly slime. About 3 table spoons of slime. Poop is water and a bit of white. No smell. She recovers and then it happened again in one day. Please Help?
Freeze by breaking egg and scrambling it raw. Put each egg in a muffin tin. When hard, remove from muffin pan and place in freezer container. Do not freeze in shell. Thaw to use in recipe or scrambled eggs.
Wow! I don't get notifications on this site and just checked back in now. I am building the fence and have not let them free range any more since the complaint. The 5 hens only went on the border of the two, over 2 acre lots in natural areas. They do not get into her lawn nor driveway. Pardon me...
I have 5 hens who have been busted for terrorizing a fearful adult neighbor by looking at her and maybe stepping accross the property line. Must I fence them in?! Or wait for the ordinance violation? Wow!
