    I just went to check on him and he seemed fine. This is the first time I've ever had one hatch. Usually I buy them from Atwood's when they are bigger so this is a first for me.

    I live in Arkansas it was 98 degrees today. The duck is outside. I figured it would get to cold inside. My ducks and chickens live in the same pen. It use to be a dog pen so there is a huge dog house in the middle that I have the little cage in. My ducks have never been ones to sit on their eggs...

    I had a broody chicken hatch a duckling but once it hatched she did not stay with it. I currently have it in a cage in the run. It is pretty hot here. Will he be okay without a heat lamp until I can get one tomorrow?

    It's not swollen. I tried but he acted like it hurt maybe or he could have just been moving just to move. He tries to get up on it but he just falls over on his back

    Hopefully the picture explains better. He was in the egg funny when he hatched so I had to help him. The other leg streched out fine the door isnt flat but I think it will flatten out
