6 month old pullet with a cough

that's what I was thinking. And I need to clean the coop - since everything is drying up in the heat I'm not too worried about spread if there were worms. it's just a texas summer.

on worming. I had 3 hens and 1 rooster last year and they all got wormed. Everyone else hatched in january. I have such severe heat right now I don't want to stress them, I have the Valbazen.

it may be. whatever it is doesn't seem to be getting worse and may resolve itself in time, i spread feed dishes around the run to reduce competition and pecking. and will see how this goes. i may try the coconut oil again if I get a chance to catch her.

yes and no. I've gotten a couple of teaspoons of coconut oil into her a couple of times and the hiccups would clear for a couple of days. Whatever it is isn't contagious and she is really good at outrunning me if she thinks I want to open her mouth and look inside. Maybe I should start hand...

So I couldn't catch her yesterday but I had 2 teaspoons of chilled coconut oil and she had a deep interest in the cucumber peel I brought out. I put the coconut oil in a dish with the peel near where she was hiding under the edge of the shed. other hens were nearby so I am not sure who ate the...

I am going to try to catch her when she goes to roost tonight and give coconut oil. Her nostrils and eyes are clear, I think it is crop related, and maybe she has something in there that isn't passing. No way I could consistently catch her to dose her with much of anything

I have not provided grit but I can. I checked her crop yesterday morning and it was empty. Will get some grit in a dish I guess out there today, there's dirt, some gravel and lots of misc in their free range but probably less grit than other areas, much of the lot is sandy
