    We ferment Scratch and Peck on a 4 day cycle. Ie we have 4 jars fermenting at the same time. Day 1 is the newest fermented feed and Day 4 is ready to feed the hens.     I waited for 4-5 weeks and just gave her 2 day old baby chicks. She was so happy to have them.

    Can I stick older chicks under a broody hen?

    I tried to put a couple of chicks that were 2 weeks old with a broody hen during the day and she just hissed at me. I got my answer pretty quickly. Maybe I should have tried it at night? I did however placed two day old with another broody hen and she just happily cuddled them.
