    Wasted feed....

I have used this style feeder for years and I don’t think the girls have ever wasted any feed! Works like a charm.

    Wasted feed....

I have a “zero waste” feeder. Rubbermaid tote - cut 4 inch holes through side - insert 4 inch PVC 90 degree neck and caulk! You will have to cut about 1/2 inch off of PVC neck about half way around so the feed flows under where the girls can eat it.

My baby chick seems really attached to me!!

My girl Betty White (White Leghorn) is by my side constantly! She has been that way since I got her as a chick 5 years ago. Very protective of me and rides around on my shoulder anytime I let her! She is super jealous of any other girl that gets my attention! I love her so much :love

Hardware cloth for floor of run

Skirt is a great way to protect your flock. I wish I would have thought of it! I did it the hard way - I dug 2 foot trenches around my run and buried it! Of course the week that I worked on it - it was about 95 degrees and 95% humidity! It was really fun - NOT! :th
