After syringe feeding and treating the wounds for a few days, both eyes are at least a little open! I know it has vision in at least one of the eyes, because he started pecking at the syringe today.

I would jump on the chance to do it! Of course, I’m really bad about taking in weak/lost/abandoned creatures. It usually ends in heartbreak, but at least I’ve given them a chance.

I believe mine had water belly. Her abdomen was swollen, and by the time I figure out her crop wasn’t the root of the problem, it was already pretty bad.

Just got my confirmation that it was the turkey. My husband went out this morning and saw her carrying one of our silkies around by the neck. Luckily the silkie survived, but I don’t have the time to build a new pen, so I think Turkey may be finding a new home :(
