Hi everyone, today I'd like to share one discovery that might be useful to those who needed it! :D
Last night, my 2 month old lil chicky is having slight difficulty in breathing. I've also noticed that there was some slimy mucus coming out of his beak and his crop never emptied (soft and...
Yup, everything looks fine physically. Is there a possibility that they were accidentally stepped on by older chickens while we weren't paying attention? Will that hurt them in any ways?
The symptoms online are much more about older chickens. Only the listless part is applicable. Other than that, I haven't noticed any bloody poop.
I truly am hoping that this one just like to sleep. But dang, i'm worried!
Hi guys, it has been a long while now .Two of my seramas are parents to two beautiful chicks. They're 2 days old now .
One of the chick is sleeping more than the other one. I haven't brought them outside because the hen is still broody.
Is everything ok with the chick? It's not eating like...
Hello, I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what type of nests chickens like to lay her eggs?
I prepared a basket with hays for my girl and she's not interested. She seems to keep eyeing on the couch ( she is a semi house chicken) in a restless way. I'm afraid I'll be getting eggs on my...
Redhead Rae: this is how small they were when I first got them .
That is very kind of you ❤️ thank you so much. Your seramas are adorable and beautiful! Chickens have the cutest personalities. My pullet never allows us to hold the cockerel. She's always jealous
Can't wait to hold those yellow...
Really? I guess if she does lay some eggs, it wouldn't be fertilised anyway ( based on how they behave). But I think I'll let her practice brooding with those eggs so that she knows how to properly take care of the eggs in the future.
I think the pullet knows quite well. But the cockerel kept on pulling her feathers without going over her. If she does lay eggs in a few weeks, I guess we won't get any chicks anytime soon :(
Hello, guys. I have a pair of Serama chickens which are about 2 months old.
I learned that when a pullet is close to laying, the wattle and comb will become redder. So i'm watching her more closely than ever.
Starting 2 days ago, she started to do the submission squat in which I think she's...
Omg right???!! Their love for mealworms is crazy. They'd always run away whenever we get too near but for the sake of mealworms they willingly sacrifice themselves for them :gig
We let them out around 9-10am until they're hungry/tired, usually until 2-3pm and at around 5 pm we'll let them out again. They do come back on their own before dusk.
Since they're quite small themselves, they're scaredy cats and can't stay outside for long without having us nearby .
