I don't understand why they wouldn't just tell me it was a rooster!!! I will be bringing him back and asking for a refund... I'm sure they will be so happy about that.

I’m so excited! Also update I brought the little unknown gender chicken back to the place I got them from and they are saying it is a hen not a rooster.. so I guess we will find out if she starts crowing Or the popping out eggs!

I guess it makes sense. One of the 4 month old girls I got was pecking at the 8 week old girl. Don’t think she would try to put the 8 week old male in a pecking order. And yes so excited for blue eggs!

I will check how they look today and will update. 1 started 2 weeks before the rest and then the rest started within a day of each other. I can usually tell the 1st one from the rest cause the eggs are bigger than the rest.

Okay they have been laying daily for about a month now. I’ve never had them do this. And we give them ouster shells constantly since we heard that helps harden them.
