    My last batch of chicks I used a nipple feeder from the get go...kept the brooder so much drier as for myself the wet mess was from them tipping and splashing their water everywhere.

    I have a mountain curr....looks a lot like ur dog:). She is six and we only got the chickens last year...we’re chicks and super active which made her get way too excited...I would love to start interpreting her but worried I missed my opportunity. Having had this type of breed, what do u think?

    I would lean towards speckled Sussex or barred rock...IMO they are both very friendly and social breeds. SS loves to talk nonstop...lays well also

    It seems like u could get the babies in there separated easily enough...might have to construct a temporary area to make sure they remain safe...but ur set up looks Roomie enough to work good;)
