I got first eggs yesterday. My question is, could they be from 1 girl?? The reason I ask is I only saw one in the nesting box. 2 of the eggs were thin shelled on the pointed end and the other 1 was a perfect little brown egg.
Or did 3 girls lay 3 eggs? Kinda confused about this.

I finally got some eggs!! I have 10 girls and 1 started laying yesterday! 3 small eggs. 2 not quite full eggs and 1 tiny perfect brown egg. 2 more today a little bigger than yesterday!

Would it be a good idea to use an empty barn stall for a coop. We would make access to outside with a run for them. We have no other animalsin here, as this is an older barn that is basically used to store all our junk.
Just thought the stall may work. Any thoughts?

I have the same question as well. I am getting 10 chicks on Tuesday. Planned on using a large plastic tote for a brooder is this a good idea?? How much room should you allow for each chick?
