I was like that too! The first 2 nights I was outside every half hour all night long checking them and the lamp! If your coop is as draft proof as you say they would be fine without it. It is hard to let go though, good luck!

I am not super experienced but they look like black sex links to me. I have an Australorp roo and they do not look like him. Australorp usually has white on the face around the eye. Like I said though no expert!
I agree with the above post. Relocation just makes it someone else's problem and yotes seem to get wise to trapping.
