I am going to go get some meal worms. I have figured out how to separate her to ensure what she eats. I thank you so much for the answers. Will let you know how it goes.
The rooster does not mount her. He goes after the other 8 hens. I feed them all pellets, but that is more calcium. Would meal worms help? I can't really separate her right now because our separation coop has a broody on a nest. How can I ensure she eats the proteins?
We moved the eggs to the smaller coop Saturday night and now she won't sit on the eggs. It is Sunday and she isn't sitting anymore. She wasn't eating or drinking the bigger coop with the rest so we moved her. Is there a way to get her to take back to the eggs
Thanks for all of the replies. I took the chairs off the front porch and used a spray bottle. Now two of them go home but the other two wait outside of the coop. Have to shoo them in. The rooster gives me the most trouble dancing around and running around the coop.
Thanks for the suggestions guys, we have done them all to no avail. They still insist on climbing on the porch. One of them started out going home but even she has stopped. The younger ones continue to go to bed but the four older ones don't.
