I am slowly gonna be sexing my silkies. We have about 10. So let's start with my only solid black satin? Silkie. I'm new to silkies so if you wanna explain their color to me that would be great.
It has went down significantly. Don't know if a picture would even show anything at this point. The chick had curled toes.. a few hours in bandaid helped it, but it still has some trouble walking because one foot is wonky but not curled. But no apparent splay leg.. it's alive and seems to be...
I have a baby chick who was malpositioned in the egg, I had to help it out.put.. once free the inner parts of the bird that was in the egg was fluid filled/swollen.. 1/2 it's body basically.. head to leg.
It's not mushy chick.. what could it be and can I help it? Will it live?
This hen is about 18-20 weeks I originally thought silver laced Wyandotte but we have 3 of those and this one is Def different. The tail feathers have green to them.
I wouldn't call any of them yet! I don't know this breed completely but the variation in color of comb can be normal this young I believe.
However I am no professional. I did thoroughly enjoy your photos tho!!
Actually this may have been the one I purchased with some black Easter eggers that looked totally different i wonder yes yes it was mixed in at the hatchery but but I'm not sure if that would be the case
So I only had the 1 assorted chick but have a few random that has turned different than the others. Can someone tell me what these may be?
Will post another chicken in a little while
