    Chicks starved in the mail

Yes. I have been very nervous ever since they shipped. Day 3 in the mail I was anxious through the roof. I know they will replace but you're right, it's still hard.

Thank you. I'm so angry and sad. Won't be mail ordering again. We love our peepers.

    Chicks starved in the mail

21 chicks have died out of the 33. These last 12 look healthy and seemingly happy, and not lethargic. Must be the toughest chickens.

    Chicks starved in the mail

No, certainly not forcing over here, not even using a dropper. Not sure where you got that idea. We are not new to chicks.

    Chicks starved in the mail

Yes we've been giving them electrolytes. I contacted them and they said to write back at the 48 hour mark with how many have died.

    Chicks starved in the mail

We mail ordered 33 chicks from Meyer Hatchery. They took 4 days to get to our post office despite the hatchery only being 1.5 hrs away from us. 5 were DOA and we have lost more than half already, with more dying. We have done everything we know to help but they are so messed up. I am...

Oh sweet. So they dont eat each other alive because there are no ladies to impress? We free range so I dont know how we would do 2 separate coops.

What breed are these cuties? Splash?

Okay I'm getting nervous with all these roosters. I want to keep them all but probably not feasible. Heres a better picture, I think it looks like a Partridge Pendesca chicken....? Its very small, half the size of the others. Similar in size to the little polish.

What breed are these cuties? Splash?

Okay so the little Polish guy was crowing today right in front of me. He was also having a standoff with the Buff Orpington rooster and little guy won, lol. Here are some close ups of one of the Swedish Flower chickens. Is this a spur developing? Rooster neck feathers? Does the Lavender...

What breed are these cuties? Splash?

Well, the said the lavender orpington appears to be a hen and that they take longer to develop so I can send them more pics if it develops into a rooster. They also said the swedish flowers appear to be 1 rooster 1 hen.

What breed are these cuties? Splash?

No, not calling you anything! I'm just saying I dont want a fight with them so I'm just going to wait until they are fully grown.

I agree that it's a splash polish, its identical to their list photo even.

What breed are these cuties? Splash?

I'm going to wait until they are fully grown to respond to them, that way there is no "if". I mean, the chicks were only $3 each so I'm not going to textually assault them and accuse them of trying to "save their butts". I'm actually a nice, reasonable person. :) I'm not a noob to chickens...
