Thank you. It seems better today. Less puffy and swollen. I just washed it a couple of times with saline solution. Hopefully it was just a poke to the eye or an irritation. 😬🙏🤞

Thanks for all your help! I think we are going to move half of the eggs to the incubator later tonight and see if she will sit on six. Then eventually move the other eggs underneath her closer to hatching day or once they hatch.

Originally we thought this was the problem so we gave her even more bedding. But she just keeps moving two or three eggs to sit on and leaving the rest.

Can you move eggs from the incubator under the hen close to the expected hatch date?

Is it likely that mama will accept the other chicks even if she is not the one who hatched them? or should I give her the eggs out of the incubator close to the expected hatch day so she will feel like they are hers?
