Sorry, just picturing hundreds of drakes trying to run vertically up a fence, and one digging for its life to go under the fence

The drakes! :lau So, I am a young mother which means my kids will be adults by the time I'm 48. So I like to think I will still be fit enough to feed the ducks from my porch swing. There is also the possibly that this village of only 20 houses will have 2000 houses by then, but probably not...

    The Quack Shack

How do your neighbours feel about the quackining? The opportunitity to purchase a beautiful house in a village has presented itself, it would be leased out for now but it would eventually be my "empty nester".

I think Australia wins for the cutest chicken killer. I learnt this week that these things exist along the coast, and are capable of taking down entire flocks. Despite being pocket sized.

I do think this is why ducks lay so many eggs to make a nest. And from observing Muscovies (from behind bullet proof glass) the mothers do asisst with hatching. I have no paitence for hatching ducks, they take oh so very long like @Magnolia Ducks said. The funnest eggs to hatch are jumbo quail...

Welcome to my pond - Swim, wade, or sit on the bank

I feel like the elements are against me when it comes to hatching, unknown planned power outages, unplugged incubators, house temp flucuates, every time I hatch duck eggs I then can't use it for 6 months because nothing else will hatch even if I sanitise it

Built a bachelour pad fir my spare roosters yesterday. I must give off some kind of vibe that I'm easy prey because whenever I uave young roosters free ranging, one will always try pick a fight if I sit too long. Yet when they are penned I can go in and do my thing and be respected

Is there veining on the other side? I have found that ducklings seem to stick to one side if not rotating properly, but you can tell this happened because the veins won't fill the egg. But if lots of veins it's all good.
