She did! We cleaned the wound and applied pressure that night, kept her inside and took her to the vet this morning. She had two puncture wounds on body. He removed part of wing (the broken part) and cleaned her up. Will keep her inside until fully healed. Still waiting on FWC to determine if...

We found one of our Pekins laying outside their duck house this evening bleeding. She was able to try to get away as we caught her to clean her up. Looks like she lost half a wing and a chunk out of her leg. Was bleeding pretty badly so I used 1:1 ratio of peroxide and water to clean the wound...

I love our duck eggs! They are delicious. If you are collecting the duck eggs daily, no fetal growth will occur in the fertilized eggs.

I have 8 Pekin ducks and they are all very skittish. We held them daily as ducklings, several times a day. The come when I have food or meal worms and will follow me at times. However, if I reach to let them (which I so badly want to do since they are so silky) they spaz! LOL. Oh well. Fun to...

The girl is doing even better today! Keeping up with the flock and running to the pond and back with less of a limp. Guess the day of rest helped! We will keep an eye on her and maybe limit their roam time a bit for the next few weeks. Thank you all for the advice and well wishes!
