Wanted to stop by and post my two girls that cuddle the most! There is Emerald (who I now know is a black Australorp) and Chickita (who is apparently a red sex link). These two love to cuddle and will fall asleep in my arms! It’s so great to have a place to share these with (as my friends and...
Thank you so much! I need to get pictures of my three older girls. They have black feathers with a greenish tint but have red feathers on their chest. They had a previous home before me so they don’t typically let me close. They also are molting so they look a little sad
Update on Tiny!
She was away from the group today but that’s not necessarily odd for her. But she does typically run up to meet me and she didn’t today. I even opened the gate to let them into a bigger area and she was by herself under a little area of low trees. When I went to try and inspect...
Alright everybody!!!
*drumroll*
Her feet are...
White! They were dirty at first and I had to clean them slightly, but they are indeed white!
Is she a black Australorp then? I uploaded a super close up of her feathers simply because they are so beautiful. Thanks for your help!
I always am...
I need to take more pictures (I have lots of videos) but there’s are ‘most’ of them. I’m still figuring out breeds but my three oldest girls are black with red patches on their chest, one of the younger nine is all black, one of the younger crew is brown, and the other seven are all red-ish!
She had no open wounds and besides holding her wing a little different and not sleeping as high as the others last night, she was acting fine. She let me examine her and seemed to be doing okay. I’m checking on her soon and will keep this updated!
They weren’t sold to me! They were given to one of our administrative staff as chicks (he had experience with chickens) and then given to us once they were old enough!
It took me awhile! I’m still learning what breed they are but about six of them are all red and have similar markings! Henny, Tawny, and Rupple were the last to be named haha! I had to learn the small differences between them all.
Hi there! I’ll be posting some pictures on a few different threads as I get better pictures. I’m trying to figure out what breed my girls are! I’m extremely new to this and wanna know as much as I can! Attached are pictures of one of my sweetest girls, Emerald!
Ahh! Yay!! Thank you so much! I’ll have to get better pictures of all of them but I would love that! Thanks for letting me know. I hate not knowing what to call them besides, well, “chickens”.
Hi y’all! I’m new here so I sure hope I’m doing this right! My name is Haley and I currently live and take care of chickens in central AR! I wasn’t expecting to take care of chickens long term but my 12 girls came into my life unexpectedly at my workplace and now I love them more than anything...
