I have been reading a lot about KNF and am planning on building a new coop to do it right! Starting my first batch of LAB now to spray in the current coop to try to get the smell and flies down a little until new coop is ready. How is yours going?
I'm going to have to renovate this fall . I put vinyl down over the wood floor because I thought it be easier to sweep out but I'm pretty sure they are nesting under the vinyl now :/

What do you think about the little cracks between the vertical boards? Should those be covered from the inside and just leave that ventilation at the very top?
Have been slowly working on this coop for the last few weeks but we got 6 pullets this week so I need to speed things up! I've pieced it together from two wooden shipping crates. I'm going vinyl floor, possibly with sand...or nothing at all.
