I have done a ton of sour crop research the past week, that's an excellent and concise resource.
I have not medically wormed my flock. I give them pumpkin and black oil sunflower seeds, occasionally oregano oil and acv. I check poo whenever I can and have never seen worms.
How would I worm...
They are close to 4, brown leg horns. Poop for hen 1 was barely uric acid for a few days and is now more liquidy with dark flecks throughout. Hen 1 had 1 decent poop over the weekend when I was home to feed her well. She's not interested herself it seems.
Same food supplier but different...
No smell. When hen 2 was down and no crop movement for a few days that started to smell yuck but no big sour smell. I gave her a concoction that's supposed to break up a blockage and and after a few days things seemed to be moving more like normal (empty crop im the morning) but noe this new...
I thought hen 1 had sour/impacted crop last week. Today hen 2 was unwell and oozed fluid from her beak when picked up. Took a video of weird neck movement sort of crop adjusting style buy def not... Doesn't look wry neckish to me either.
I have tetracycline but don't know if that will help.
