Good morning,
Introduction time.
I am very new at all this. I inherited four hens and a rooster from the previous owners of the house I moved into in December. Now I have five more chicks and three ducklings. We will see how this all goes. I will keep posting updates. I am so glad I...
My chickens love hunting through all the fresh clippings for bugs and such. They generally get a large pile spread out over the course of a day. I still leave areas for dust baths though.
Something I hadn't considered...the little duckling had discolored feet. She had white patches on her webbing and feet. Anyone seen anything like that before???
Thank you everyone for your concern. As a "new" mini-farmer I knew this would happen, and as a former 4Her (eons ago) I have experienced losing animals before.
I already purchased two new ducklings to raise my flock to three ducks and five baby chicks. I was very picky at the store when...

Also...I isolated her because her companion...
I don't see any visible injuries. But I'm not a vet...unfortunately. I will look into the B complex vitamin. Do you have any recommendations?
Also, I have separated her from the rest of my mini flock. I am hoping she will get better without the chicks running all around. She actually...
I just bought two ducklings. One (khaki cambell) seemed very young compared to the other. It is also having a hard time walking and instead kind of scoots around. I did some research and figured it might be splayed leg. I am currently using a band aid brace technique. However, I am...
